Maybe the word Courage is overused, and maybe Hero is too strong a word. None the less, for anyone who has lived through a life-threatening illness, teetered on the brink of death, or held the hand of someone who pushed through the sting of recovery, Evan Handler is more than an actor,
he is an inspiration.
"Time on Fire" is recommended reading for fans of this versatile actor. Seeped in sarcastic humor and peppered with unfathomable depths of
vulnerability, "Time on Fire" explores the dichotomy of surreal humor and raw pain that comes with facing a battle with cancer...and winning.

Aside from bringing the world an amazing story of survival, Evan has proven to be a stand-out persona on stage, in film, and even on television. He
recently played in part of the ensemble cast of the ABC sitcom "It's Like, You
Know..." as well as the part of Larry Fine in the Three Stooges
film.
Handler attended the Sundance Institute Screenwriter's Lab in 1998 with his screenplay adaptation of "Time On Fire", which is scheduled for
production in 1999. He has also written for The New Yorker, Elle magazine,
Mirabella, and USA Weekend.
