Starfall
Some say that we live but once
To love, do and die
That each man can make his mark
But then must perish and in his lonely grave lie
But some say not,
Man has many a lives and
Goes round on the wheel of rebirth
But what makes the difference
Is how he lives
In every action, a reaction created
And thus the fates have decided
What his Karma will beBut whether it is only the one
And only
Or but one of many
I believe in the starfall
I believe in the moonshine
I believe in the blue sky
I believe in the good of allSome say there are photons
In the invisibility of great space
And wide and full black holes
Swallowing bending lightbeams
Some say that in supernovas
And clusters of exploding stars
We can see our future and then maybe our past
Some say it is only a short flight to Mars
Did the dream die with Apollo's light
Have we become lost in the night
collecting spacedust as we collect seashells
We reach for the stars and wish to be filled in our
empty shellsSome say doomsday is near
Some say never fear
Our glittering weapons of destruction
Glimmering under our bloodshot and yet pristine
Moon
Will not be our epitaph
Will not be the end of mankindSome say pick the flowers
Some say do not touch
Some say be kind to the animals
Some say eat not so much
Some say give to your brother
Some say forgive your father
But all around us cities of sewage rise
Above oceans and under rainbowed skies,
But I believe in starfall
I believe in moonshine
I believe in the blue sky
And I believe one day we shall all fly
No dream ever dreamt has to dieBelieve with me in the starfall
Take my hand, feel my soul
Speak to you today
So that some distant day
In an everpresent year,
You shall see the starfall
And bathe in its glittering fragments
Some say this, some say that
It is all insignificant
When you are under the unbreakable spell
The magic of the blinding star as it fell,
The starfall
