"There's the one and only T.C. There was
nobody like me before,
and there ain't gonna be
anyone like me after I'm gone."
-- Truman
Capote

Truman Streckfus Persons Capote -- a name
as large and worthy of headlines as the persona he
created. Capote was a genius of language. His
sentences were finely crafted, pain-stakingly
arranged, perfection for perfection's sake. There are other sites out there that
detail Truman's life, his works, his massive personality. Here, we simply offer
a small "Thank You" to the man who turned the literary world upside
down and never looked back to apologize.
